Northern Ireland Masters X/C Championships and International Trials 

Our Monday Mobbers had a great turn out at the Northern Ireland Masters X/C Championships at Queens Playing Fields on the 7th October 2023. This event also acted as the Trials for the upcoming Masters XC International in Scotland. 

The Club had 4 fantastic Podium Finishes with Shileen O’Kane leading the way with Gold in the W55 race, Martina Elliott and Kate Montgomery taking silver in the W60 and W65 categories and Sarah McNutt an excellent 3rd in a tough W35 category. 

As the final results were collated it was a nervous wait for the Northern Ireland Team Announcement. Lagan Valley AC had an amazing total of 6 selected the represent NI in Glasgow – Sarah McNutt, Suzanne Higgins, Shileen O’Kane, Martina Elliott, Kate Montgomery and  Philip Brines (reserve), this is a brilliant achievement for each of them.
