Irish National XC Championships 2023

It was a golden day for Lagan Valley AC at the Irish National XC in Gowran on Sunday 19th November 2023.

LVAC managed to accumulate 55 medals in total – 26 Team, 22 County and 7 Provincial. Pride of place to the Junior Men (pictured) who won gold and will now travel to Albufeira for the European Clubs in February.

  A mention too for Olivia Morgan who finished 8th in the U16 Girls and will now travel with an Irish development squad to compete in Scotland in January; hardlines to our silver  U18 Girls Team (pictured) that missed top spot by 1pt; a special mention for 2 of our boys who ended up in A&E – Rhys McManus and Rory Armstrong went above and beyond the call of duty in seeing out their respective races and in doing so earned their teams podium places – sums it all up really! Final mention for all of our younger juniors who ran so well and gained valuable experience at the top table!

 A proud day for the Club we’ll savour this one for a while!
