Northern Ireland and Ulster Senior Championships 2025
Lagan Valley AC had 22 athletes competing in this summer’s NI and Ulster Senior Championships at the Mary Peters Track, bringing home 8 medals and 2 NI and Ulster Titles.
Stephen Lyster showed his great current form to take the gold in the SM 1500m while Marianne had a great solo run at the front to take the win in the 5000m. There were silver medals for Curtis Ford and Oisin McGlone in the Javelin and 5000m respectively, In the Javelin Curtis Ford and Jason Craig both had brilliant PB throws of 46.20m, with the medals only being split on countback with Jason taking the Bronze. Jude Glover finished in a brilliant 3rd place in the High Jump his first year in the Senior Field as did Harry Nelson in the Triple Jump with a distance of 12.49m. James Ashely had a strong finish to take third in the men’s 800m while Aisa Zukauskaite took the bronze in the hammer.
