NI & Ulster Masters XC Championships

The Lagan Valley Masters Women continued their season of great success by taking the Silver Medals at the NI & Ulster Masters Championships at a very windy and, in places, muddy, Billy Neill Playing Fields at Dundonald. 

Sarah McNutt added to her NI Senior 10k medal by finishing second individually and she was ably supported by Suzanne Higgins, Suzie Cave and  Catriona Donaldson. Excellent support was provided by Jenny Finlay, Liz Dawson, Hazel McLaughlin and  Ruth Periolli.  It was significant that the spring four and Jenny all have been member of Lagan Valley since they were at school and winning school and age group titles. A fantastic show of loyalty.  

While Eric and Fred enjoyed the privilege of age by joining in with the Womens 4000m  The under 65 Masters men faced a gruelling four laps of the 2000 metres loop which contained several challenging steep climbs. Keith, Hugh, Richie, Ian and Trevor stuck to the task and made sure Lagan Valley appeared in the team results.
