It is not only the young Lagan Valley athletes who are making an impact on the National Championships. On Sunday seven of the more life experienced Sky Blue and Navy Track and Field exponents took the long journey down to Tullamore for the Irish masters Championships and came home with a total of seven golds , four Silver medals a bronze and two nears misses. Jimmy Harris took an excellent Gold in 100, 200 and 400m , Joe Frey Gold in the Hurdles and Silver in Long Jump, Lynsey Glover Gold in Shot and Silver in hammer and Discus and Ciara Burrows Gold in the Shot and Silver in Discus with Lee Webster also picking up Gold in the Javelin. Martina Elliott continued her new journey in sprinting with two fourth places and new member David Lowe took bronze in the M70 100m.
