Irish National Track & Field Championships

The final weekend of July saw a number of Lagan Valley AC athletes head to Dublin for the Irish National Track and Field Championships. 

Jai Benson continued his great form to take a bronze medal in the mens Triple jump with 14.68m. 

 Laura Frey also had a brilliant performance with a season best of 1.02.60 in the heats of the women’s 400m hurdles qualifying her for a strong final on Sunday evening. Laura again ran well in the final for 8th place. 

 Emily Forte had a strong 7th place finish in a big field in the women’s long jump. Finishing with a jump of 5.13m.

 Jason Craig in his first National Senior Championships had a great 10th place finish in the Mens Javelin with 36.01m
