Lagan Valley AC athletes have been representing on a National and International level throughout the summer season both at home and around the world
- Katie Graham represented NI at the GB & NI Junior U20 selection race held in Keswick. Katie left it all out there as per with the battle scars to prove it – well done Katie
- Isabella O’Dowd was selected to represent the Irish Schools Team that travelled to Derby for the SIAB Schools International. Issy finished in a brilliant 4th place with a jump of 1.60.
- Jude Glover, Isabella O’Dowd, Ella McKelvey, Sam Grossmith, Matthew Williams, Jacob McGinley and Sam Bowden were selected to represent Ulster in the Interprovincial Championships. The club has three medallists Issy finished 2nd in the High Jump with 1.63, Jude finished 3rd in the High jump with a PB of 1.80m and Sam 3rd in the Javelin.
- Sean Lavery was part of the Northern Ireland team which travelled to Dresden, Germany to compete in the 25th World Transplant Games. Sean had outstanding performances coming home with 2 golds, 2 silvers and a bronze medal.
- Lynsey Glover travelled to Alabama, USA as part of the Norther Ireland Team competing in the World Police and Fire Games. Lynsey took Gold in the Hammer and Discus and Bronze in the Shot.
- Kate Bradely and Shileen O’Kane were selected to represent Ireland at the World Master Mountain Running Championships in Meduno, Italy. Kate finished in a brilliant 11th place and was part of the bronze medal winning team. Shileen showed her class once more with a 6th place finish and also picked up a bronze medal in the team age category event
