Irish Indoor Age Group Championships

Apr 12, 2025

After a very successful Northern Ireland & Ulster Indoor Championships we had 11 Individual Athletes and 3 relay teams qualify for the Irish National Indoor Championships in Athlone.

There were two medal winning performances for the club as well as numerous PB’s and strong performances from all the athletes.

First up on the Podium was Jude Glover who took the bronze medal in the U17 Boys High Jump with a personal best jump of 1.78m. The top three in the comp all finished on the same height with the places having to be split on countback. This performance was all the more impressive considering Jude sustained a head injury in the warm up jumps which required 4 staples.

Our second medal went to the Girls U19 4 x 200m squad of Sophie Stevenson, Anna Hogg, Madison Hanna and Aida Zukauskaite. All the girls put in a strong leg to secure them the bronze medal.

Well done to all who made the journey. Qualifying for the National Championships is a great achievement and experience.
