2024 Indoor Season Gets Underway at Irish U20 / U23 Championships

The 2024 indoor season kicked off in the Athlone International Arena with the Irish U20 Championships. 

Emma Guion made her debut in the sky blue and navy and on Irish soil when she claimed the silver medal in the U23 200m in a very classy time of 24.97 sec. Welcome to the club Emma. 

Tommy Arthur and Oisin McGlone were in action for the club and both excelled themselves with 1500m PB’s. 

In a very large strong field of 33 runner, Oisin McGlone had a top 10 finish for 9th in a time of 3.58.60 while Tommy Arthur finished in 17th with 4.08.62. This was Oisin McGlone second indoor event this year having already secured a 3000m PB of 8.34.76 at the Sheffield Indoor BMC on the7th January. 

Lughaidh Mallon also opened his indoor season strongly at the Cardiff Indoor BMC meet with a 3.50.63 1500m.

This a great start to the indoor season for all well done.
